Learning and Development

We believe in capacity building of each employee in our company, as it provides the employees with the benefits of personal growth. It also benefits our community, key stakeholders and organization. Our HR and L&D team carries out training needs-assessment surveys, where the source of training need, target group, objective and the budget are assessed. Based on the approval of the study a training calendar is developed and the respective courses are designed.

Our employees deliver value to our customers. An inspired, enthusiastic and skilled workforce is the backbone of our operations. At ABG, we recognise the value our employees bring to the table and their high position in our value chain. As we strive to be attractive workplace to appeal new talents as well as retaining our teams and individuals, we have many employee benefits in place. We have clear non- discriminatory policies for employee compensation. Benefits such as employment insurance, medical insurance, festival bonus and longterm benefit plans are provided to all the employees.

Health & Safety

Occupational Health & Safety (H&S) at TAF has seen an improvement in various facets. Safety is given paramount importance and improvement in processes through better reporting of incidents, stronger risk management and evaluation tools, employee and workmen interactions have been initiated. ABG Safety Management Standards, basis DuPont Safety Standards, are strictly adhered to at our Units.

TAF has been continuously working towards WASH Pledge initiatives.

We have implemented the following initiatives under the WASH Pledge:
  • Separate and special Toilets for Physically Challenged persons entering plant premises.
  • Self-dispensing soap solutions across the plant wash basins
  • Improved hygiene of Canteens, Toilets by improving infrastructure & ventilation systems
  • Systemized cleaning procedures & implemented standard PPEs usage by cleaners
Our Washpledge business score was 87.5% in FY 2017-18 and 96.88% for FY 2018-19

Employee and Labour Relations

We ensure that multiple benefits are provided to our full-time employees for their well-being, productivity and motivation. Apart from benefits that are required by law we also provide life insurance, health care, transportation services, housing and extra paid holidays.

We also have robust procedures to identify instances of non-compliance with labour laws. This is monitored through management system audits, formal monitoring programs and grievance mechanisms. Discrimination on the grounds of race, colour, sex, religion, political opinion, national extraction, and social origin is strongly condemned. We also strongly condemn the use of forced and child labour. Regular monitoring measures have been developed to prevent any such transgressions. We also perform a rigorous process of due diligence before employing suppliers to ensure a clean, sustainable, and ethical supply chain.
