Durashine™ sewing threads for stitching outdoor fabrics

Thai Acrylic Fibre Co. (TAF) has launched a new application for its Durashine™ fibre for stitching of outdoor fabrics. The company has developed sewing thread with Durashine fibre which provides excellent resistance to UV and is also strong enough to hold awning and outdoor furniture together.

“Our customers have been looking for a solution for improving the weather resistance of the sewing thread they use for outdoor end-use. We, therefore worked with them to develop a solution that has all the inherent properties of sewing thread like high strength but also the added UV and weather resistance that comes with Durashine,” says Satyaki Ghosh, CEO Acrylic Fibre and Domestic Textiles, Aditya Birla Group.
